1 Important Information About Rental Equipment

• Personal Liability: Students are personally liable for the rental equipment. The HdM (Hochschule der Medien) does not provide insurance coverage.
• Return Procedure: To return the equipment, schedule an appointment using our appointment system (QR codes are posted on the door).
• Equipment Condition: Return the equipment fully charged and not reset.
• Passwords Required: Have passwords for Apple ID and local accounts ready.

2 Connectivity / Wifi

Preliminary Setup use: HdM-Guest-WLAN

Password: HNw34tYFgR (Will only work this week!)

Afterwards: Eduroam Visit: https://cat.eduroam.org/ (get the Certificate, go inside Settings (Settings -> General -> Device Management), Accept the Certificate and enter your Credentials)

OS to Install: Use MacOS 26 Tahoe

Programms to install: XCode 26.X via AppStore

After installing Xcode (unpack and place it in Applications) - Start it and install the iOS Codebase / Simulators as well as predictive coding
